CMS finalizes 8.5% rate hike for Medicare Advantage, Part D plans in 2023

The Biden administration finalized an 8.5% increase in rates to Medicare Part D and Medicare Advantage plans, slightly above the 7.98% proposed earlier this year. Read more.

AHIP report highlights growth in Medigap enrollment

An AHIP report found that 39% of Medicare beneficiaries enrolled in Medigap coverage in December 2020, up from 35% in December 2017. Medicare beneficiaries with Medigap coverage were three times less likely to have trouble affording medical bills than beneficiaries who did not have Medigap. Read more.
