North American | New Email Encryption Service and Forms Update

North American uses encryption to help keep sensitive information secure when it is being sent via email. We are excited to announce that effective September 17, 2021, we will transition from the current email encryption service, Zix, to Proofpoint, a top provider within the industry. Messages sent via Zix will no longer be available to open or view after December 14, 2021. There will be no change to the scenarios when the secure email process is utilized, only a change to the vendor. Read more.

In response to the regulatory changes, we’re increasing cash values on our Immediate Solution, 10-Pay Solution, and Easy Solution effective October 2, 2021. Also, effective October 2, 2021, the minimum issue age for Trendsetter LB band 1 ($25,000–$99,999) will increase from age 18 to age 23. This means proposed insureds must be 23 years or older for a Trendsetter LB policy with a face amount less than $100,000. Read more.
