Capital Blue Cross Individual | Commission Payout
Due to a Capital Blue Cross Commission System programing error, Capital BlueCross Individual commissions for October did not pay accurately and with that, many payments were not made and missing in the October payout. Penn State Health Takes Ownership of Holy Spirit Hospital
Holy Spirit Health System and its 2,600 employees will officially become part of Penn State Health on Sunday. Penn State Health hasn’t revealed financial terms of acquiring Holy Spirit from Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health, which has owned it since 2014. Read more.
Algorithm Spots 'Covid Cough' Inaudible to Humans
In tests, it achieved a 98.5% success rate among people who had received an official positive coronavirus test result, rising to 100% in those who had no other symptoms. The researchers would need regulatory approval to develop it into an app. They said the crucial difference in the sound of an asymptomatic-Covid-patient cough could not be heard by human ears. Highmark | ACA Updates: Early ID Cards; Producer Portal Enhancements
Highmark will distribute 2021 ACA Individual member ID cards for current members early this year in effort to make our members lives a little easier. Members will receive their ID cards beginning the week of November 2nd. Read more.

UPMC Health Plan | Moving to Electronic Billing
Starting November 10, 2020, all new groups with a December 01, 2020 effective date and on will be required to enroll in Electronic Billing through our payment system called ACI. The billing contact at the group will access ACI via Employer On-Line in order to view the monthly invoice. The system will automatically enroll the group in electronic billing and suppress all paper bills. Read more.
