I wanted to make sure you were aware of US Digestive Health’s provider termination notification since they have a strong presence in PA. All members who were utilizing their services were notified by letter, which was sent via U.S. Mail. Please see media statement below:

 

Highmark Holding Media Statement

• As of July 1, 2024, US Digestive Health, a large gastroenterology practice offering specialized GI care with more than 40 locations in PA and DE, has resigned from our networks in PA and DE, including Commercial, ACA, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid*.
• *Highmark Wholecare Medicaid members in PA are not impacted by these events.
• We have been negotiating to limit cost increases for our members and customers and to offer fair and reasonable reimbursement rates but have not been able to reach an agreement on a new contract. 
• US Digestive Health’s request for additional reimbursement will make it a significant outlier to the rest of our network. We are continuing to negotiate with US Digestive Health on behalf of our members to bring them back into the network.
