CMS Unveils More User-Friendly Medicare Website
Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) unveiled several updates to the Medicare.gov website that make it easier, for millions of people who use it, to navigate and access information to compare and select health and drug coverage and find providers. The updated website, based on consumer feedback, prominently features timely initiatives and messages on the homepage and highlights key tasks and information most frequently sought by people with Medicare, people nearing Medicare eligibility, and their families. Clover Health: COVID SEP Alert
In ongoing discussions with CMS, CMS has confirmed with Clover Health that there is no current Nationwide SEP for COVID and there is also no valid COVID SEP due to the recently released Public Health Emergency (PHE) information. Read more.
NAHU Clarifies Medicare Marketing Requirements from Final Rule in Conversations with CMS
CMS recently released the final rule on “CY 2023 Policy and Technical Changes to the Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit Programs.” While this rule encompasses a variety of revisions to Medicare policies, including Part D benefit regulations, the most relevant portion of the rule concerns new requirements for “marketing” calls. As of April 1, 2022, we are now in network with Tower Health hospital system! Also, effective May 1, 2022 we have added Einstein Health to our portfolio of providers. As we share this exciting news with all of you, we are still in the process of getting all the providers loaded into our Find A Provider tool.
