New Law Expands Income Limits for Prescription Assistance for Older Pa. Residents
The Pennsylvania Department of Aging announced a new law that expands eligibility limits for the Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for the Elderly Needs Enhancement Tier (PACENET). Governor Tom Wolf signed the legislation into law that allows an additional 100,000 older adults to now become eligible to be a part of the program, with enrollment starting this month. Read more.
Over 60 senators express support for Medicare Advantage
More than 60 Senate lawmakers signed a letter to CMS Administrator Chiquita Brooks-LaSure urging the CMS to maintain stability in the Medicare Advantage program as it considers the annual final rates for plan year 2023. The CMS should ensure that any "payment or policy changes allow Medicare Advantage plans to continue to provide the patient-centered care that 43% of Medicare-eligible Americans rely on every day," they wrote.
