More Than 2,000 Pittsburghers Have Registered To Participate In UPMC Coronavirus Vaccine Trial
Just last week, UPMC put out the call for 750 local volunteers to be inoculated with the vaccine under development by the pharmaceutical company Moderna. On Monday, Dr. Judith Martin, UPMC’s director of clinical trials, says more than 2,000 people have already responded eagerly to do their part. Read more.
PA Healthcare System to Build New Medical Practice on Highmark’s Corporate Campus
In 2017, when Penn State Hershey Medical Center and Highmark announced a partnership, Penn State Hershey said at the time it would spend $1 billion to expand and improve its facilities, with the backing of Highmark. And the latest expansion announcement hits right at home for Highmark. Penn State Health announced this week that it is building a new health practice on the Highmark corporate campus on Center Street in East Pennsboro Township. Read more.
