 On a chrome browser, go to the healthplan.com, to the “For Brokers” Tab , select Broker Portal then create an account or login

Medicare Appointment Requirements:

  • Effective 07/22/2024 with the release of the 2025 Geisinger Medicare training, brokers will be assigned both 2024 & 2025 training to complete to be appointed. Brokers are responsible to make sure the correct plan year training is completed. This can be tracked on the Broker Portal by an Admin.      

 

Medicare Training Guidelines:

  • New agents that are working on an appointment to sell, will need to complete their training within 30 days of when the appointment paperwork is received, and training link sent out.  If training is NOT completed within the 30 days, it will show as Cancelled in the Broker Portal under the appointments Tab. Then the Agency will need to resubmit all appointment paperwork again through the Broker Portal or email to brokers@thehealthplan.com. Any incomplete or missing paperwork will not be processed and will delay the appointment.
  • Existing brokers that are currently appointed to sell, will need to complete their training by 12/15th to sell for the new plan year. If training is not completed, Broker appointments will be terminated. 
  • Existing brokers that are not interested in selling but have renewals to be paid without interruption have until 12/15th to complete their training. If training is not completed, Brokers appointments will be terminated.
  • If you are unable to log into the Broker Portal, to complete the Litmos training. You can contact the Broker Care team with any questions regarding the Broker Portal, Litmos or any other broker-related concerns at 1-866-488-6653. Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM.

 

Medicare policies:

1) Medicare Broker of Record Change

2) Medicare Broker Release Forms required for transfer-We have a new Transfer Release policy and form.

3) Blackout Period (September 30th – December 31st) whereby no hierarchy changes will be processed. If a request is received during that time, it will be processed for the first month after the Annual Enrollment Period, becoming effective February 1st .
