We want to tell you about two important administrative changes taking place this month. Please read this email in its entirety.

National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) Best Interest (BI) Expansion

We have combined our Suitability Acknowledgement Form (ADMIN5463) with our Suitability Acknowledgement Best Interest Supplement Form (ADMIN5840). The new form is called the Best Interest Acknowledgement Form (BIA).

Beginning September 23, 2024, the BIA will be required for all annuity sales in all states.

Note: In certain states, training will not be required until each state adopts the NAIC BI regulation. Refer to the NAIC BI State Approval Chart in the Compliance section of SalesLink^® for updates.

Two Florida Required Forms

Also, effective September 23, 2024, we will reinstate the Florida Disclosure and Comparison of Annuity Contracts Form. This form is required when replacing an annuity contract in the state of Florida. In addition, a new Florida Internal Replacement Form is required for all life and annuity internal replacements in Florida. Please refer to the Replacement Requirements by State for details.
