Ovia’s health solution for women is merging to create a unified experience
Our comprehensive maternity management program includes Ovia, a digital platform that focuses on women’s health and provides support and resources for employees who are returning to work from maternity leave. Today there are three Ovia Health apps (Ovia®, Ovia® Pregnancy, and OviaTMParenting) that work together to offer support.
Available for download in April 2025, the Ovia and Ovia Pregnancy apps are merging to create one enhanced experience. The new Ovia app will continue to include support for cycle tracking, trying to conceive, fertility predictions, pregnancy, postpartum care, perimenopause, and menopause.
The Ovia Parenting app remains the same but will be easier to access from the new Ovia app. The functions of the Ovia Parenting app will be added to the Ovia app in 2026.
Preventive care focuses on preventing illness through annual physical exams, screenings, immunizations, and check-ups. Screenings include blood pressure checks, colonoscopies, mammograms, dental cleanings, and eye exams. An annual preventive exam reviews overall health, personal and family history, and health habits. It looks for potential concerns like diabetes and high blood pressure, and identifies ways to reduce chronic disease risk.
Employer groups can launch a preventive care educational campaign with our Preventive Services Toolkit. The toolkit provides resources to help employers launch a workplace campaign on preventive care and the importance of regular check-ups and screenings. It can help educate employees on health risks while offering tips on managing and preventing chronic conditions.
Check with your Capital Blue Cross Account Manager with questions regarding if an employer group is eligible for specific services.
2025 schedules of preventive care services are reviewed and updated periodically based on the recommendations of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, Health Resources and Services Administration, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and other applicable laws and regulations.
