Increase your earning potential with Capital’s Producer Incentive+ Program for new and renewal group business. The program runs from February 1, 2026 through January 31, 2027.
The block management bonus is calculated based on a comparison of active enrollment from January 31, 2026 to January 31, 2027.
The new business incentive includes additional reward potential when you sell medical with a Capital Blue Cross dental plan, a tiered network medical plan, or ASO prescription drug.
The renewal business reward recognizes existing ASO medical groups that include prescription drug or add our dental plan.
Contact your Capital sales executive to collaborate on how you can earn rewards.
In addition to existing commission payments, Avalon Insurance Company offers producers an incentive program for your Avalon Stop Loss sales and renewals.
Producers must be appointed by Avalon and licensed in the applicable state of Pennsylvania, Maryland, or Delaware, at the time of sale and must maintain persistency of at least 85% on applicable medical membership.*
The program period runs from February 1 through January 31, 2027. Here's how to earn:
Persistency incentive — Receive up to 1.5% payout, based on retention.
Premium growth incentive — Receive an incentive of 0.5% of eligible premium for premium growth of 17% or greater.
New business incentive — Group premium tiers with increasing incentive.
High performing producer incentive — Sell six or more large group stop loss accounts and earn a 10% enhancement to the final payout for new business incentives.
Producers who achieve a retention rate of at least 98% and/or 250 new business contracts can earn more standard commission dollars. The HPP program criteria is based on an annual review of your group book of business starting February 1 of each year.
Capital Blue Cross is expanding its efforts with the Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company to make lower cost biosimilar alternatives to Humira and Stelara available to commercial members. Beginning May 1, Capital’s commercial prescription drug plans will cover two biosimilars available from Cost Plus Drugs, reflecting the health plan’s continued focus on improving affordability and access in the specialty drug market.
Starting in May, Capital Blue Cross is enhancing our member text messaging (Loop) experience. Members will no longer need a separate password to view messages — after clicking a link, they’ll simply verify with their date of birth. This removes a common frustration and makes it easier for members to quickly access important information on their phone.
Capital offers eligible Capital Blue Cross medical plan members the opportunity to participate in diabetes prevention and management programsthrough Omada Health. We’re now working with Omada to offer two new program upgrades for Large ASO groups to help their employees address additional cardiometabolic health concerns.
These additional programs complement the existing Omada for Prevention and Weight Health and Omada for Diabetes programs:
The new Hypertension Program offers extra support for members who have been diagnosed with hypertension (high blood pressure). Eligible members will be connected to a health coach and hypertension specialist as well as hypertension-specific groups and communities. Hypertension program participants will also get smart devices based on their needs at no extra cost, including a blood pressure monitor that connects automatically to their account.
The Enhanced GLP-1 Care Track (ECT) can help eligible Capital members who are taking GLP-1s to meet weight loss goals and can also support members in maintaining weight loss after discontinuation of a GLP-1. The program offers tools such as smart devices based on their needs, a specialized GLP-1 curriculum, enhanced exercise support from an exercise specialist, help to address common barriers to medication persistence, and nutrition guidance targeted to individuals taking GLP-1s.
By adding these new components, Large ASO group employers can provide a holistic approach to chronic disease management to empower employees to take control of their health with a more comprehensive support system.
These programs are available as optional programs for Large ASO groups. Groups can choose to add one or both programs upon renewal or during the plan year. Groups may not exclude dependents or offer a subscriber-only program. All group members aged 18 and over must be included in a program at the group level. Members who have secondary coverage through a Capital commercial group or a Capital Medicare Advantage plan are not eligible for these programs.
Capital Blue Cross has adopted a team approach to support you, as we collaborate to enhance business relationships, foster your growth through education and incentives, and actively support the communities we serve. The commercial group teamthanks you for your commitment and hard work. Reach out whenever you need them.
