7/1/2026 Aetna Fully Insured 51+ & AFA Plan Updates
We’ve made some changes and enhancements to keep delivering strong value for your clients. In addition, we are launching FI medical portfolios in DC, NV, OR, UT and WA, and AFA in AK and OR for 51 eligible to 200 enrolled groups. These changes take effect starting with 7/1/26 plan effective dates.

New dental national plans available during state portfolio refresh dates
Small Group will now offer three new national plans as part of the dental national portfolio and will be available during your state’s respective portfolio refresh date. These new national plans were developed to offer higher annual maximum benefit options based on market demand.

Important sold case reminders and dates
Did you know that a key date* in every month ensures that your clients’ claims and member ID cards are ready by the plan’s effective date? The best way to ensure your clients have all they need by their effective date is to submit all sold cases and their final paperwork by the 15th of most every month.
For May and June, new business deadlines for submissions and paperwork are below. However, for late submissions, your client will not be claims ready by the effective date.
*The above dates are to ensure groups are claims and ID card ready.
