Capital BlueCross ALERT: Debit Card Scam
Recently a national debit card scam has impacted our BenefitWallet account holders. After additional research and discussions with vendors and impacted members, it has been determined that this is a cell phone scam. The alleged company is randomly calling members’ cell phones and asking for credit card information. This has no direct relation to BenefitWallet account holders or the use of the debit card. Capital BlueCross Policy Update: Capital BlueCross will no longer cover services involving use of a morcellator
In the best interest of our patients’ safety and health, effective November 1, 2014, Capital BlueCross will no longer provide payment for gynecological procedures that involve the use of a laparoscopic power morcellator. This policy is effective for procedures that occur on or after the effective date. Click here to read more.

Producers who have completed the training and registration process to sell on the Marketplace should email copies of their certificates and their FFM User ID to cbcproducerlicensing@capbluecross.com or fax them to 717-540-2282. Producers who need to complete the training and registration can reference the Producers in the Federally Funded Marketplace attachment.

Producers who have completed the FFM certification will receive a “Certificate of Completion.” E-mail a copy of that certificate and the National Producer Number (NPN) that was used to register with CMS to Broker.Submission@bcnepa.com and Kerri.McKeown@bcnepa.com.

The Employers Council on Flexible Compensation (ECFC) is an industry association made up of leading cafeteria and related benefit plan service providers and plan sponsors.
