Dear United Concordia iDental® Producer: We appreciate all that you do to support and sell United Concordia's dental products. After a strategic review of all our businesses and with careful consideration, we regret to inform you that United Concordia has decided to discontinue its iDental product line in Pennsylvania. This affects new individual business previously sold to individuals or families. This will not have an impact on any United Concordia group policies . In fact, United Concordia currently maintains an A.M. Best rating of A-; we have simply chosen to focus our resources and attention on the expansion of our group business through our commercial salesforce and producers, like you, as well as our strategic partnerships. Please accept this letter as notification that United Concordia will no longer quote new individual iDental policies, effective immediately. In addition, we will not renew existing dental policies beginning January 1, 2015. You can be assured that our plan has been submitted to your state insurance regulator.
In the meantime, we are committed to providing you and your clients with exceptional service.
Your clients' policies will remain in-force until their renewal date, and claims will be handled in conformity with the terms of their United Concordia dental insurance contract. United Concordia will send current iDental subscribers a letter notifying them of this decision, beginning this fall for January 1, 2015 renewal dates. The letter will identify their policy's termination date and provide a toll-free number to call regarding alternative dental coverage. We will continue to keep you informed as we begin the notification process to subscribers. If you have any questions, please call us toll-free Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., at 1-877-299-4594. Thank you again for your support of United Concordia and our commitment to being the leader in oral wellness for our groups and members. Sincerely, United Concordia Dental |
