IRS Drafts Mandate Penalty Regs

News as reported by Greenlee Partners, LLC; “Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner Mike Consedine announced that the Corbett administration has reached a deal with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that will delay the move of 30,000 families from the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to Medicaid until at least the end of 2014. The Affordable Care Act mandated that all children of families between 100 and 133 percent of the poverty level receive Medicaid. The Corbett administration successfully argued that children could end up losing their coverage if forced to switch programs.”
