As January 1st 2014 effective date cut-off for the ACA plans has passed us, I’m reminded of March of 2010 when the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was signed into law. We all scrambled to wrap our arms around a massive law that was much too large to even digest. We all pondered what our Health Insurance Distribution “world” would look like. HA1 ACA Auto-Renewals in 2014

For all HA1 plans that renew in 2014, they will receive a HA1 PPACA option. They are not locked into a HA1 plan and can terminate their HA1 coverage if they choose to do so by using the cancellation form.  PLEASE NOTE that if the clients does nothing, they will be AUTO-ENROLLED in a HA1 HMO ACA policy under the Bronze Deductible Only HMO HSA Eligible ACA plan. Highmark Individual Market Update - Applications Submitted Before Deadline
