ACTION REQUIRED: Consolidated Appropriations Act Section 204 Data Collection – June 2024 Reporting Deadline
Consolidated Appropriations Act Section 204 Data Collection – June 2024 Reporting Deadline
Section 204 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) of 2021 and its implementing regulations require health insurance issuers and group health plans to report certain information regarding prescription drugs and health care spending (also known as RxDC reporting) to the U.S. Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Treasury (the “Departments”).
Data for calendar year 2023 is currently due on June 1, 2024. To meet its obligations as a health insurer and to assist its group health plan clients, UPMC Health Plan Inc. and its affiliates (collectively known as UPMC Health Plan) will request required information from groups by providing a “Consolidated Appropriations Act Section 204 (RxDC) Data Collection Form” to clients via email in March 2024.
Once groups receive the Consolidated Appropriations Act Section 204 (RxDC) Data Collection Form, they should follow the instructions on the form to fill out the required information, provide their digital signature, and return the information to UPMC Health Plan by April 30, 2024.
Click here for an example of the updated data collection form that will be sent to groups.
Please note, if groups do not complete and return the form in a timely manner, UPMC Health Plan will not submit this information on their behalf, and groups may be required to submit the information directly to the Departments.
Please contact your account manager with any questions. Thank you for your assistance and for choosing UPMC Health Plan for your client’s benefits.
