Action needed for CAA drug cost reporting
Capital Blue Cross continues to comply with the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) drug cost reporting requirements. We have posted on our websiteour plan to collect and submit files for ASO small business and fully insured group customers, on their behalf, for calendar year 2023. Capital will also submit on the behalf of ASO groups if they opt in for us to do so.
All ASO small business and fully insured group customers and ASO groups who choose to have Capital report on their behalf need to complete this formby March 29 so we can get the required data that only the groups can provide (such as the average monthly premium paid by members). Should you require it, there is a different form specific to producersif submitting for multiple groups on behalf of your clients.
Please check under the Drug cost reporting tab on our websiteto see what steps we’re taking to complete this submission and what action is needed. Contact your account executive with any questions.
Health equity webinar recap
Thank you to those who were able to join us for the Heath Equity webinar held on February 22. If you missed it or want a refresher, check out the presentation deck and recording.
In Q2, we will launch a health equity accreditation questionnaire in order to collect data about members. The questionnaire is optional. We will send you and your clients an email with more details before we launch the questionnaire to members.
Get good shut eye for good health
March is host to National Sleep Awareness Week. Getting enough sleep not only affects how we look, feel, and perform on a daily basis, but it can have a major impact on our overall quality of life.
To get the most out of our sleep, both quantity and quality are important. If sleep is cut short, the body doesn’t have time to complete all of the phases needed for muscle repair, memory consolidation, and release of hormones that regulate growth and appetite; we wake up less prepared to concentrate, less prepared to make decisions, or feel less motivation to engage fully in work or family and social activities.
Members can access their Healthy Blue Rewards platform through their computer or the AlwaysOn® app to get the help they need for better sleep. They can take advantage of great resources like the self-guided program Improving Your Sleep , a sleep tracker, or the Exercise to Better Sleep challenge.
If you are interested in learning more about these opportunities and how best to promote them to your employer groups and their employees, please call or email a Senior Health Education Consultant today for more information.
