The Consolidated Appropriation Act of 2021 requires insurance companies and employer-based health plans to submit information about prescription drug and health care spending to the Departments of Health and Human Services, Labor and Treasury.
We’re asking employer groups enrolled in an Affordable Care Act (ACA), a “grandmothered” Keep Your Plan (KYP) or a Geisinger Funding Alternative (GFA) plan to provide required information that meets 2021 prescription data collection (RxDC) requirements by no later than Friday, April 12. These groups will receive a postcard in coming weeks to complete the online form. No action is required for fully-insured 51+ employer groups — Geisinger will use the premium contributions submitted upon the group's enrollment.
Self-funded clients who would like GHP to file for reference year 2023 should respond to the request received from your GHP account executive to complete the online form.
Geisinger’s deadline to submit the RxDC reporting is June 1, 2024. Failure to provide employer specific information by Friday, April 12 will result in an incomplete submission and non-compliance with the RxDC reporting requirement. We encourage you and your groups to use the link below, which contains a form applicable for each line of business and funding arrangement.
