Dear Agent and Agency Partners,

 

We want to remind you of Cigna Medicare's guidance regarding an agent's compliant submission of paper enrollment applications. Please read below.

  • When an agent takes possession of a completed enrollment application from a customer, the agent should sign and date it immediately. An agent taking possession of a completed paper application constitutes Cigna’s receipt of the application.
  • Agents should discontinue mailing paper applications effectively immediately, and paper applications should be faxed to Cigna’s Enrollment department using the Cigna Enrollment Fax Coversheet available in Producers' University. After logging in, click here to access it.
  • When customers request applications to complete and mail themselves, agents should NOT sign or date the agent portion of the application. Agents should instruct customers to leave the agency portion blank and to mail the completed application in a Cigna provided envelope. 
  • Note for Agencies: Agencies are responsible for ensuring their training materials are updated with the above clarifications, accordingly.
