2022 Producer Incentive+ Program
Capital Blue Cross’ new and renewal business incentive period began in July. Keep in mind that the Producer Incentive+ Programprogram began in February and is tracking all your business through the end of January. Talk to your Capital Blue Cross rep to learn more about how you can maximize your earning potential through this program.
And don't forget that you can earn additional reward dollars for specialty networks and dental offerings!
Qualify for additional incentives by combining your new stop loss sales with life, disability, critical illness, or GeoBlue sales through CBI.
The program period runs February 1, 2022, through January 31, 2023.
Large ASO reporting enhancements
Based on feedback and suggestions from our customers, we have made some enhancements to our invoicing details report document (CM-B-511icCDH). The new format allows users to apply their own sorting and totals so each customer can customize the report based on what best fits their needs.
A Grand Total row has been placed at the top of the page for ease of reference and separation from the detail table. We have also suppressed $0 records to reduce unnecessary rows. There will be a note included in the report stating the enhancements.
This report change is for Large ASO groups only and was implemented on August 19. Groups will begin seeing the change in their subsequent invoice reports.
PPACA annual Social Security number solicitation
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) requires insurers to initiate three requests for missing Social Security numbers (SSNs):
Through the application process, when the employee is enrolled.
Through a SSN solicitation letter (one month after the enrollment is processed).
Through a final solicitation letter during August or September of the following year.
The final solicitation letter is going out this week to plan subscribers who had minimum essential coverage in tax year 2021 and do not have an SSN on file for themselves or their covered dependents. Their employers will also receive letters.
Please note these letters are specific to coverage that was in effect during tax year 2021; therefore, these communications will go out even if the member and the corresponding employer are no longer covered by Capital Blue Cross.
Help your clients learn how they can promote healthy deals and discounts to their employees
As we head into open enrollment season, it is a good time to raise interest in value-added programs, like Blue365, which offers deals and discounts on dozens of products and services for our members.
Producers, brokers, and employer groups can attend these demos.
The Blue365® program is brought to you by the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. Blue365 offers access to savings on health and wellness products and services and other interesting items that members may purchase from independent vendors, which are different from covered benefits under your policies with Capital Blue Cross and its family of companies, its contracts with Medicare, or any other applicable federal healthcare program.
Promote safety at home with an Emergency Preparedness presentation
You can't wait until an emergency strikes to start preparing. When a family prepares for emergencies, there is less stress. It's also possible a good emergency plan can save lives.
The Capital Blue Cross Health Promotion and Wellness team offers an Emergency Preparedness presentation and a health exhibit. Both promote the importance of having a household emergency plan and emergency kit.
If you want to learn more or are interested in sharing this health presentation or exhibit with your clients, reach out to your dedicated Senior Health Education Consultant, or email CBC.HealthInformation@capbluecross.com today!
