Nationwide access and local support: the BlueCard® program.

As a Blue Plan, Highmark's provider network has always been one of our strongest selling points. Whether in their backyard or on the other side of the planet, our members can find the quality care they need. BlueCard® is a program that connects independent Blue Plans across the country, with access to the largest physician and hospital networks in the U.S. and over 1.7 million providers, including 95% of all hospitals.* When members travel, they are covered in 190 countries through the Blue Cross Blue Shield Global® Core program.*With BlueCard®members take their healthcare benefits with them. BlueCard® is a national program that enables members obtaining healthcare services while traveling or living in another Blue Plan's area to receive all the benefits of their contracting Blue Plan, and access to providers and savings. Across the country and around the world, the BlueCard® program provides members with access to doctors and hospitals almost everywhere.
