A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held last week at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center to celebrate the opening of the newly expanded Henry Cancer Center. The cancer center opened to patients on Monday, March 28, bringing new cancer care options to northeast PA.
Work began on the 92,150-square-foot, four-story expansion project at Geisinger Wyoming Valley in the summer of 2019. The Henry Cancer Center features high-end care, including an 18-bed inpatient unit to serve patients who need blood cancer treatment, expansion and modernization of treatment areas and a redesigned reception and lounge area.
A new, modern façade and lobby at the hospital's main entrance will welcome patients and visitors.
