2022 Commission Policy Update – First Year Plan Changes

Attention Valued Partner,

Based on feedback received from our broker partners and to meet industry best practices, we are updating our policy regarding compensation for First Year Plan Changes. Beginning January 1, 2022, First Year Plan Change payments will be prorated.

Policy Update

The First Year Plan Changes policy update will result in the New Broker of Record (BOR) receiving a prorated payment, and the Initial BOR receiving a prorated chargeback.

When an existing client in their first year with Wellcare facilitates a plan change through another active broker:

*Please Note: Wellcare is implementing a new Commissions system early 2022. First Year Plan Change payments will be processed monthly as manual adjustments through March and will transition to standard weekly processing once the new system implementation is completed.
