Medicare Offerings
 
This year presents us with the unique opportunity to promote UPMC for Life’s 5-Star Special Enrollment Period (SEP). To do so, we’ve created the following direct mail packages that will be in homes shortly.
  • Prospect Package – This package promotes our 5-Star SEP and quality awards to Medicare beneficiaries across our service area.
  • Responder Non-Converter Package – This package promotes our 5-Star SEP and quality awards to leads who have responded to previous marketing campaigns but have not enrolled with us.
  • Win-back Package – This package promotes our 5-Star SEP and quality awards to those who have disenrolled from the past five years.
 
This time every year we also begin our age-in campaign, which allows us to specifically target future Medicare-eligible beneficiaries based on their birthday. This campaign has several touchpoints based on how far the lead is away from turning 65 years old. Here’s a brief overview of each package in our 2022 age-in direct mail campaign:
  • 12-Month Package – Mailed to Medicare beneficiaries around their 64th birthday to get the prospect thinking about their upcoming Medicare decision. Offers personal help with understanding Medicare and our new personalized Countdown to Medicare booklet.
  • 7-Month Package – Mailed to Medicare beneficiaries seven months before their 65th birthday to help them compare plan options and understand how to enroll in Medicare. Offers the 5 Common Medicare Mistakes booklet and our new Countdown to Medicare booklet.
  • 5-Month Package – Mailed to Medicare beneficiaries five months before their 65th birthday to give specific UPMC for Life plan benefit information. This package offers personal help and the UPMC for Life plan compare guide.
  • 4-Month Package – Mailed to Medicare beneficiaries four months before their 65th birthday to give UPMC for Life plan benefit information and create a sense of urgency for enrollment. Offers a $15 Sheetz Z-Card to call us for more information about their upcoming Medicare choice.
  • 3 Month Package – Mailed to Medicare beneficiaries three months before their 65th birthday. This is sent to prospects we have not yet heard from throughout the age-in process.
