- Pre-authorization questions
- The eligibility of a specific procedure
- Pharmacy-related claim or benefit inquiry

- The amount of a deductible/coinsurance required

Have the following information about your customer ready when you call:
- Group number, member ID and/or social security number
- Subscriber name and patient name
- Bill account number (for billing inquiries only)
- Date of service and provider name for a claim inquiry
The Producer Hotline can verify information; however, they cannot provide you with information. Additionally, the Producer Hotline cannot provide member IDs (UMIs) to producers.
For less-complicated questions, send an email to the Producer Hotline at prodem@highmark.com for a quick and easy way to get answers!
- Producers should not carbon copy (CC) their Highmark client managers or sales channel consultant on these emails. This will prevent confusion and duplication of work between the client service managers and the representatives.
- Please call the Producer Hotline to follow-up to an open inquiry rather than sending another email. This ensures producers speak with only one representative. Emails are works in the order received, so it is likely two different representatives may become involved if more than one email is sent.
- You will receive a confirmation email that your inquiry has been received. Please allow 24-48 hours for a formal response as many inquiries require research and may take some time to resolve.
