Adjusted paperwork timeline can help ensure members get ID cards on time
The Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) requires health insurers to include additional information about deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums on member ID cards for plans effective January 1, 2022.
All new groups effective January 1, 2022 and after will receive the new CAA-compliant ID card. For existing groups, ID cards will be reissued upon employer renewal dates.
To be sure members with January 1 effective dates receive their ID cards on time, Capital Blue Cross has adjusted our renewal paperwork timelines. Please take note of the date by which completed enrollment documents should be submitted:
Large groups (consortium groups, 100+ size groups) — November 22, 2021.
Non-Large groups (Small and Mid-Market groups) — November 29, 2021.
Groups using electronic enrollment (including eGEMS) — December 9, 2021.
When submitting, please confirm that all forms are completed and they include all necessary documents.
After the paperwork has been processed and enrollment has been completed, member ID cards will be available online.

There's still time to earn rewards with the Producer Incentive+ Program
Reward yourself for new and renewing group sales with the Producer Incentive+ Program. There is something for everyone, including a block management bonus. It also provides incentives for retention, growth, Rx, specialty networks, and dental. The program period runs through January 31, 2022.
Stop Loss Incentive+ Producer Reward Program
The Stop Loss Incentive+ Program rewards you for your Large Group Avalon stop loss sales and renewals. Producers can qualify for added incentives when combining new stop loss sales with life, disability, critical illness, or GeoBlue®sales through Consolidated Benefits, Inc. (CBI).
Qualifying producers who obtain growth metrics in Stop Loss Incentive and Stop Loss Incentive+ lines of business through CBI can earn rewards through the program.
The program runs through January 31, 2022, which means there's still time to earn up to $125,000 in incentive payments.
GeoBlue® is a trade name of Worldwide Insurance Services, LLC, an independent licensee of the BlueCross BlueShield Association. All plans are underwritten by 4 Ever Life Insurance company, an independent licensee of the BlueCross BlueShield Association.
Reminder for ancillary-only groups that add medical benefits
Current employer group customers offering dental/vision only who will be adding medical benefits are required to provide an initial deposit payment. This payment is for Non-Large group customers to cover the first month's projected invoice amount for medical and prescription coverage. The Automated Payment Options formallows groups to elect electronic initial deposit through eCheck.
Always include the group name and group number in the subject line of any email correspondence along with a description of the group’s activity (for example, ancillary-only group adding medical).
November 14 is World Diabetes Day

Routine eye exams can detect the onset of diabetes, as well as glaucoma, cataracts, and high blood pressure.
