Capital Blue Cross has partnered with WellSpan Health to offer three new, competitive Medicare Advantage plans for 2022, available to individuals in Adams, Cumberland, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York counties. Electronic Scope of Appointment (SOA)

 

Beginning October 1, Capital will provide an Electronic SOA option. This option allows you to send your client an email with instructions on how to complete the SOA online. After your client has completed and submitted the SOA, you will receive confirmation. Follow these easy steps to initiate the process:

 

• Log-in to the Producer Portal from capbluecross.com.
• Navigate to the Medicare section of the Producer Portal.
• Click on the Capital Blue Cross Medicare Advantage section.
• The Electronic SOA option will be available in the Resources and Forms section.
• Complete the required beneficiary information, including email address, click on the “Next Step” icon.
• The agent information should pre-populate based on the contact information we have stored for you in the Producer Portal. Confirm your email address is correct and be sure to check the box next to Agent’s Signature as your electronic signature.
• Complete the required Appointment Information, including the date of the appointment and click on Submit.

 

You will receive an access code as confirmation that the SOA was sent to your client via email. Provide that code to your client in order to complete the process. The beneficiary will receive an automated email from us with instructions on how to complete and submit the SOA. 

 

You will receive a confirmation email with a copy of the SOA once it has been completed. Do not meet with the beneficiary until you have confirmed that the SOA was completed. If you have questions, contact your Broker Manager or call the Producer Hotline at 1-844-440-4630.

 

 

Annual Certification Reminder

 

As a reminder, agents must be licensed in Pennsylvania, certified and appointed prior to engaging in the sale of Capital products. If you have not yet completed your 2022 plan year certification, remember that AEP is right around the corner.
