Updates to UPMC Health Plan COVID-19 Coverage  
 

To continue supporting you and your employees through the COVID-19 pandemic, UPMC Health Plan has made the following updates to our coverage for fully-insured employer group and individual ACA plans, as well as self-insured employer plans that do not opt out of this coverage: 
 
Telehealth  
UPMC Health Plan will continue to waive deductibles, copayments, and cost-sharing for all in-network virtual visits with a health care provider—including through UPMC AnywhereCare - until Aug. 31, 2021. UPMC Health Plan anticipates the restoration of cost sharing for most virtual visits at the end of the summer. 
 
COVID-19 treatment  
Until Oct. 20, 2021, UPMC Health Plan is waiving all deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments for covered in-network, inpatient COVID-19 treatment, and in-network monoclonal antibody treatment for COVID-19 so long as permitted under the current state and federal emergency declarations and associated guidance. For more information on monoclonal antibody treatments, visit UPMC's monoclonal antibodies page, or call 1-866-804-5251. 
 
COVID-19 vaccine-related treatment 
UPMC Health Plan will waive all member cost sharing for vaccine-related treatment (such as follow-up mammography/biopsy/ultrasound of the breast related to enlarged lymph nodes, as well as other adverse reactions to the COVID-19 vaccine) through Oct. 20, 2021. 

Laid-off and furloughed employee coverage
UPMC Health Plan has relaxed its requirement that employees must be actively working to be eligible for coverage. Groups may continue coverage for temporarily laid-off or furloughed employees through Sept. 1, 2021. Following that date, standard coverage and enrollment procedures will resume.
