Salvation Army partners with Capital Blue

The Salvation Army of Harrisburg is teamed up with Capital Blue Cross to beef up vaccination efforts.

A walkup clinic hosted today with a two-pronged approach of vaccinating underserved communities and fighting hesitancy.

"We've been bringing these clinics along with Rite Aid to the communities, and just hoping to get some folks who you know maybe weren't sure about getting a vaccine because they either had, you know, trust issues or they you know, transportation issues," said Susan Hubley, Vice President of Social Responsibility for Capitol Blue Cross.

The clinic has seen about 20 walk ins and patients will return in three weeks for dose number two.
