UPMC Health Plan introduces “The Better Option” Producer Incentive for Individual Sales
UPMC Health Plan has two ways to help you earn incentives during Pennie’s COVID-19 special enrollment period (SEP). Enroll qualifying individuals between February 15 - May 15, 2021, with March - June 2021 effective dates, to qualify for the incentives below.
1. Come Back to Better Incentive: Bring back any individual member who was enrolled with UPMC Health Plan in 2020, and enroll them between February 15 - May 15, 2021, to earn a $140 per member incentive. Come back to better!

2. New to UPMC Health Plan Incentive: Sell any new individual policy between February 15 - May 15, 2021 and earn a $50 per member incentive. Get your members the better option.

Terms and Conditions
- This Better Option Incentive Program (the “Program”) is subject to the terms and conditions of the Producer Agreement between the contracted producer or General Agency and UPMC Health Plan and applies only to individual business enrolled between February 15, 2021 and May 15, 2021.
- Incentive payments earned pursuant to this Program will be made within 60 days of the member's effective date for all eligible members. Determination of payment for all incentives earned under this Program is at the sole discretion of UPMC Health Plan.
- UPMC Health Plan may, in its sole discretion, cancel, amend, terminate or suspend this Program at any time.
- This Program applies to new Individual Advantage business sold during Pennie’ s COVID-19 SEP only, and applies to on and off exchange business.
- Payment of any applicable incentives earned under this Program will be payable to the writing producer and paid through a General Agency, if applicable.
