A message from our President, Ken Clemens
It gives me great pleasure to announce the following URL employee promotions and corresponding titles, effective January 1st, 2021:
Steve, Life Markets Executive Vice President, began his insurance career in 2000 as an independent insurance agent specializing in life insurance and rose to the leadership level. He enjoys building lasting relationships with agents to help them achieve their clients financial goals, as well as provide marketing solutions to help grow business.
Steve is a proud member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), where he served on the NAIFA Greater Harrisburg Board of Directors (2018-2020), and currently as the NAIFA Greater Harrisburg President.
In his free time, he greatly enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children on family vacations to the beach or the Colorado Rocky Mountains. He enjoys coaching baseball and soccer in local youth sports leagues, as well as playing golf, fly fishing and cheering on his alma mater, Penn State.
Deb, Health Plan Options Senior Vice President, has been a part of the insurance industry since 1995. There have been many changes to the health insurance market over the years, and she works closely with Pennsylvania state government regulators to voice concerns of the insurance agent and brokage community.
Deb holds a designation of Certified Benefits Consultant (CBC) and works hard to represent the interests of agents and brokerages as the Vice President of Central PA Association of Health Underwriters (CPAHU), and member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) and Pennsylvania Association of Health Underwriters (PAHU).
She was chosen in 2020 to be the chairperson of the Pennsylvania Health Insurance Exchange Authority (PHIEA) Advisory Council (representing PAHU), a role which she uses to continue to support and educate agents.
Her hobbies include cooking, reading and spending time with her 9 beautiful grandchildren.
Jim, Marketing & Technology Vice President, brings cutting edge insurance technology and marketing programs to URL and it's agent partners.
Since 2005, Jim has overseen print and web advertising campaigns, company branding, web development, information security and infrastructure management and in 2009 was promoted to Marketing and Technology Director.
Jim leads the Marketing and Technology department that plans and executes campaigns focusing on an omni-channel approach. He is also responsible for adopting, upgrading, and maintaining computer systems and resources. He has been a licensed insurance producer since 2012.
Outside of work Jim enjoys family-time and building fast cars and computers.
Christy, Medicare Offerings Vice President, has worked in the insurance industry since 2004. She started out as an independent agent, then in 2011 she began working at Donegal Insurance Group as a Call Center Representative before obtaining promotions to General Casualty Claims and then Personal Lines Underwriter.
Since joining URL in 2015 as Medicare Marketing Director, Christy has been instrumental in positioning their Medicare Offerings department to become one of the leading field marketing organizations for agents and agencies nationwide.
Christy holds a designation of Personal Lines Coverage Specialist (PLCS), her Associate in General Insurance (AINS), and is actively pursuing Associate in Management. She also obtained her insurance licenses for both property and casualty, and health and accident.
Christy's hobbies include baking, wine tasting, running and exploring new adventures with her husband and son.
Thomas, Apollo Employee Benefits Services Director, joined the Health Plan Options department in 2015 with a strong customer service background.
Thomas holds a designation as a Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC), and is also the Legislative Chair for Central PA Association of Health Underwriters (CPAHU), where he manages and coordinates legislative and regulatory activities. Serving as the link between PA and the national Government Affairs staff, the Legislative Council, and the national and state boards regarding legislative and regulatory issues.
He comes from a large family, and enjoys spending time with all of them, along with his wife and son. His hobbies include sports, travel, and anything that involves the outdoors.
Kelly, Orion Client Services Manager, has worked in the insurance industry since 2002. She joined URL in 2018 with an extensive work history in Medicare.
Kelly has worked with a local insurance carrier in a variety of departments, including pharmacy, Medicare Part D, compliance. She has also worked as a Medicare Broker Consultant.
In her spare time, she enjoys running, vacationing, and spending time with her family and friends.
Rosanne, Office Manager, started as the receptionist with URL in 2018. During this time, she enjoyed meeting many agents and clients, and assisting them in getting their questions answered.
She loves spending time with her two girls, four grandsons and Great Dane, Tommy. Her hobbies include fitness, reading and cooking.
These outstanding individuals have shown exemplary performance of their duties in the past and have made considerable contributions to the success of our company. Each of them stands as fine examples of URL’s commitment to only hiring exceptional people.
