As all of us are still conducting business safely and at a physical distance, we know how important it is for you to stay connected with your clients. UPMC for Life implemented a lot of new and exciting virtual tools last year that we hope have made selling easier during the COVID-19 pandemic. We wanted to send you a reminder of the resources that are still live and ready to help you in 2021! Scope of Appointment (SOA)—Your clients can use any of the following ways to complete the SOA:
- Cavulus: Your clients can fill out this form electronically online before your scheduled appointment. You can email a link directly from Cavulus to your client. To learn how, click here.
- Telephonically: Your clients can complete a telephonic SOA with you on the line. To learn how, click here.
- Mail/Email: Your clients can still mail you a completed hard copy of the SOA form or scan and email it back to you before your scheduled appointment. For a copy of the new SOA form, click here.
Enrollment application—If you are meeting with a client virtually, they can complete an enrollment application form as follows:
- Cavulus: Your clients can electronically apply for enrollment by sending receiving a link directly from Cavulus. To learn how, click here.
- Telephonically: Your clients can complete an enrollment application over the phone. To learn how, click here.
- Online Plan Change Form: If a current UPMC for Life member who would like to switch their plan with us, this tool allows you to continue to be their selling agent. To learn how to send an online plan change application, click here.
Additional resources—Make sure to take advantage of all the additional tools that UPMC for Life gives our broker agents.
- The Broker Training site is a great one stop shop where you can quickly access plan grids, comparison guides, and more. We will continue to add even more content to ensure you have the information you need—at your fingertips.
- Create your own marketing materials using the Broker Marketing Portal. This site gives you access to UPMC for Life branded materials and allows you to customize each piece with your name, contact information, and picture.
- Remember, your broker manager is here for you anytime you need help. This is your most important resource for questions about Medicare, the UPMC for Life plans, and help working your leads.
- The Broker Resource Center is an additional source of support and knowledge available to all agents. Call toll-free at 1-855-289-3197. They’re available Oct. 1 – Dec. 31 seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Jan. 1 – Sept. 30 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Check your email! We will continue to send broker blasts containing time-sensitive announcements including COVID-19 vaccine updates, sales tips and tricks, and links to useful tools. Make sure to add MedicareBrokerSales@upmc.edu to your email address book.
