Dear Valued Agents,

 

We have received notification that some Agents have instructed their clients (our members) to reach out and contact Farmbox directly to register a complaint about no longer being eligible for the Farmbox benefit as a member of the Vibra Enhanced Complete MAPD plan and request that they (Farmbox) opt them back into the benefit.  Farmbox “cannot” do this as they only administer the benefit.  These types of calls “MUST” come to Vibra directly and be on a recorded call line in the event of possible future appeals or grievances filed against the plan. 

 

Please note that for 2021, Vibra is coming into alignment with what is filed with CMS on how the Farmbox benefit will be administered by Vibra Health Plan.  Additionally, since this benefit is being offered for the first time to eligible CBC PPO and HMO MAPD members (except for the PPO Select option), the following holds true for these members as well. 

 

In short, if a member is not presently diagnosed as having one of the following serious chronic medical conditions, they are not eligible to receive the Farmbox benefit in 2021:

  • Chronic Heart Failure
  • Chronic Lung Disorder
  • Diabetes Mellitus, or
  • Chronic Cardiovascular Disease

 

Members who did not have the conditions noted above in 2020 should not have received the benefit however, the decision was made to not cease distribution in 2020 and to come back into alignment with the bid for 2021.  Vibra Health Plan cannot opt in or make exceptions to anyone who does not qualify according to claims data as that would place the plan out of compliance with CMS and the submitted bid for 2021.

 

We kindly ask that you cease informing your clients to contact Farmbox directly but instead contact Vibra Health Plan should they have a question of concern regarding this benefit.
