A friendly reminder that the Scope of Appointment (SOA) must be completed in its entirety prior to discussing MA/MAPD or PDP benefits with a beneficiary. Per Section 100.4 of the CMS Medicare Communications and Marketing Guidelines. The following requirements must be on the SOA form of recorded call:

• Product types to be discusses
• Date of appointment
• Beneficiary and agent contact information
• Statement stating, no obligation to enroll, current or future Medicare enrollment status will not be impacted, and automatic enrollment will not occur
