If you have Medicare Supplement clients that are interested in the stand-alone dental plans, the website below includes plans available for self-enrollment.

When the URL opens the only choice is “Dental Coverage”. There is also a question about whether the person has a Medicare Advantage Plan. If they answer yes, they will be taken to the OSB Dental webpages as appropriate for the MA plans.

Medicare Supplement Plan 2021 Rates:

New York State Department of Finance has postponed rate submission reviews for Medicare Supplement Plans until after 3/1/2021. The postponement is due to a drastic decrease in claims paid during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This means there will be no rate change starting 1/1/2021. If we do decide to change 2021 rates after 3/1/2021, we will send the Annual Rate Notice (ARN) to Employer Groups and Individual Plan members at least 30 days before any rate change takes effect.

National BlueCard Visitor/Traveler Program With Our PPO Plans

As of 1/1/2021, three more states have been added to the National BlueCard Program: Arkansas, North Dakota and Vermont. The BlueCard Visitor/Traveler program gives our members extensive in-network access to doctors and hospitals linking health care providers and Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans in 43 states and one territory (Puerto Rico).*

In-network providers can submit inpatient, outpatient, and doctor claims for out of state members to their local Blue Cross Blue Shield Plan. This enables our members to take advantage of our nationwide provider network, discounts and claim filing agreements that other Blue Cross Blue Shield plans have negotiated with contracting hospitals and doctors in their area. Please note that in some states the network is only available in portions of the state.

To find an in-network provider, visit provider.bcbs.com or call 1-800- 810-Blue (2583).

* 2021 MA PPO BlueCard network effective 1/1/2021
