If an existing customer in your current book of business chooses to make a plan change, he or she can call our Cigna Agent Resource Line (CARL) plan switch hotline and your Agent of Record (AOR) status is protected. Using the plan switch hotline for your existing customers allows you to focus on generating new business during AEP.
You still have the option to fill out a new application to submit for current customers, but this queue exists to allow us to help you move your customers while you focus on generating new business during the AEP. The queue will be staffed with licensed service representatives, not licensed Sales Agents. As long as your customer calls the Cigna plan switch hotline at 855-649-5101, you AOR status will not change when one of our representatives executes a plan change on behalf of one of your customers.
Beginning October 15, the plan switch hotline will be open Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. CT and Sundays from 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. CT.
