Action required: Correction to Aetna’s 2021 SilverScript PDP Summary of Benefits document
We have identified an error in the Summary of Benefits for Aetna’s 2021 SilverScript Prescription Drug Plans (PDP). At this time, we are providing a correction notice for you to print and insert into any 2021 PDP enrollment kits you many have recently received. Here's what you need to do.

Mark your calendars: 2021 star ratings deadlines
CMS requires you to replace the 2020 star ratings document with the new 2021 star ratings page in any enrollment kits in your possession by October 29. You’re also required to review the 2021 star ratings document with beneficiaries when presenting Aetna MA/MAPD and SilverScript PDP plans.
The 2021 star ratings page will be included in any new enrollment kits you order starting October 28. If possible, please wait to order additional kits until then.

FYI: 22 drugs are displaying incorrectly on CMS's Medicare Plan Finder. However, they are appearing correctly on AetnaMedicare.com. Here’s the list.

NEW: Over-the-counter catalogs are going digital
You can now view and download the 2021 over-the-counter (OTC) catalogs online at AetnaMedicare.com/OTCCatalog. In 2021, MA/MAPD members will not automatically get an OTC catalog mailed to them, with the exception of our Dual-eligible Special Needs Plan (DSNP) members. DSNP members will receive a welcome kit with their OTC catalog included. All other (non-DSNP) members can access their 2021 OTC catalogs online at AetnaMedicare.com/OTCCatalog.

Enrollment tip: Be sure to include a primary care physician (PCP) on the enrollment application
|
|
|
To help ensure we assign the correct PCP to the member’s policy, make sure you include the physician’s name, provider ID and the primary care ID on the enrollment application. You can find these details on our online provider look up tool, AetnaMedicare.com/findprovider. For those enrolling in an HMO plan, this is especially important. If they don’t select a PCP, we'll select one for them.
Plus, if your client is currently seeing the PCP, make sure you check the existing patient checkbox on the application.

Avoid these common mistakes when enrolling your clients in the 2021 SilverScript SmartRx PDP
If you submit an application for the 2021 SmartRx PDP, make sure you:
-
Select AEP as the election period— if you select IEP or SEP, the enrollment may be denied based on effective date guidance from CMS.
-
Input an effective date for 2021— The SmartRx plan is new for 2021. So, you can't select November and December effective dates.

NEW: $70 VBE option— What you need to do to earn it
If eligible, when you initiate a value-based enrollment (VBE), you'll see a new option, Agent Complete. With this new option, you'll earn an extra $70 service fee per enrollment when you complete a health-related survey with your client. The survey takes about 15 minutes.

Help members review how their plan is changing in 2021
If your clients contact you with questions about how their plan is changing, there's a new, easy way to quickly see which benefits are changing in 2021. We created a year-over-year plan change tool on Producer World. It's designed to help you see the key year-over-year plan changes so that you can help members decide whether their current plan will continue to meet their needs next year. Or, if they want to switch to a different plan.

Need to update your demographic information?
Just follow these steps to update your name, address or email address on Producer World. Important: Contracting cases are tied to your current email address. If you have an open case, you'll need to wait until it is approved before you update your email address.
After you update your info on Producer World, you'll also need to update it on the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) too.
