Effective Jan. 1, 2021, Highmark will pay commissions for all ACA individual and family plans in Pennsylvania according to the schedule listed below. Commission amounts are for all 2021 on- and off-exchange plans with effective and renewal dates in 2021.

In addition, we are increasing our agency override to $5 PMPM (Per Member Per Month) for new and renewal business in PA.

New contracts with issue date in 2021	$20 PMPM
Renewal contracts with issue date in 2020 or earlier	$20 PMPM

Producers must be certified through Pennie, Pennsylvania’s new state-based insurance marketplace, to sell and earn commission for on-exchange enrollment.
Producers can sell and earn commission for off-exchange enrollment without certifying through Pennie.
Commissions for renewing contracts during the 2021 calendar year will adjust on the anniversary of the issue date.
Commissions are applicable to contracts with effective dates throughout 2021, including Special Enrollment contracts.
Commission will pay on a maximum of five members per contract.
Commissions will be paid on all contracts, whether submitted electronically or via paper.
