Due to the concern for the safety of our Medicare community, UPMC Health Plan has cancelled all in-person events for the month of October.
As a result, we have moved from an in-person seminar approach to a virtual seminar approach. This means conducting business over the phone, or face-to-face online through a video call.
Please note: You can still meet with a prospect in-person on an individual basis. This is up to your client’s personal discretion. UPMC for Life expects all brokers to strictly adhere to the Governor’s Guidance for Licensees of the Pennsylvania Insurance Department and any requirements or restrictions that applies in their region including the Governor’s Guidance for Businesses and orders regarding Building Safety and Worker Safety.
As a reminder, UPMC for Life offers many tools to help support your business virtually!
Use Cavulus. Through our online customer database, Cavulus, you can document phone conversations with your clients, as well as order enrollment kits. In your notes, be sure to list in detail all of the plans and benefits that were discussed, along with any providers or prescriptions that you reviewed with your client.
If you do not have access to Cavulus and close a sale with a prospect, call the Broker Resource Center (1-855-289-3197) so they can handle updating the lead in Cavulus. This helps ensure key information is documented for assignment and enrollment purposes when the lead calls to enroll. If you are interested in having access to Cavulus, please contact your broker manager.
Encourage alternate enrollment options. There are several ways your clients can enroll in UPMC for Life.
Enrollment kits include two paper applications and postage-paid envelopes that can be completed and mailed to us. Enrollment kit requests are being mailed same day, with no delay.
