Expanded Ages
Applicants of all issue ages are now eligible to use the new digital application platform. Agents should prepare clients for the possibility of an optional online application experience if they otherwise qualify for the program.

Applicants age 65 and up who complete the online application may receive a short follow-up call regarding their medical history.

For California applicants age 65 and over, additional disclosure forms may be included in the online application for the client. An email will be sent to the BGA with a link for the writing agent to e-sign CA disclosure form LU1291 and/or LU1292.

Temporary Insurance Agreement (TIAA)
Applicants who are eligible and wish to include a TIAA with their application may now do so within the online application.

If the agent selects 'no' for TIAA on the drop ticket:
Phone Interview: The client will not be asked about TIAA
Online Application: The client will still have the option to include a TIAA

Agents should inform clients they will need to select the TIAA option and bind coverage prior to signing the application to be considered for temporary coverage, as there is no option to add it later on in the process.

New: Credit Card Option Available
Applicants can bind temporary coverage with a credit card or EFT. Please note, their accounts will not be charged at that time.

Premium Display
Good news! We heard your feedback and the premium amount displayed will now stay the same as quoted throughout the applicant journey until a final decision is made.

iPipeline: Omitted Client Email Address During Drop Ticket
When dropping a ticket to iPipeline, omitting an applicant's email address will no longer automatically disqualify them from the digital app process completely. LGA will follow up with the client to attempt to obtain this information during their preferred interview time so that they can be sent an online application link. If they prefer they can continue to complete the new application over the phone at that time.

We strongly encourage agents to include applicant email addresses. Doing so will ensure eligible applicants will immediately receive a link to the online application as an option, even when a telephone interview has been scheduled.

Multiple Policy Selection - Available on Partner Dashboard

The ability to issue multiple policies using the digital application is not yet available. Therefore, the applicant will need to go through the traditional AppAssist process. A 'Multiple Policy' section has been added to the bottom of the Product Info screen when dropping a ticket on Partner Dashboard.

The agent will need to drop a separate ticket for each policy needed and select 'Yes' in the Multiple Policy section.

These cases are automatically routed to the AppAssist Call Center and only one interview will be conducted for all policy applications.

At this time the platform cannot accept:

Waiver of Premium
Business coverage
Multiple policies for one applicant
