As our Final Expense business has grown and developed, and we have much more meaningful experience data available to us, we are better able to match our pricing and mortality assumptions with our experience. As a result, and in our continuing efforts to remain very competitively priced with this product, some changes were required within the medical section of the application.
There will be two different applications for Final Expense: one for all business written in California, and one for all other states. The California version has yet to be approved by the state, so we will continue to use the FE2015 CA version until the application is approved for use. We will also continue to use ScriptCheck® for the California applications.
