After completing a nation-wide search process, we are pleased to announce that Kurt Wrobel will assume the role of President, Geisinger Health Plan and Executive Vice President, Insurance Operations. Kurt has been the interim health plan leader since February during the transition following Steve Youso’s announced retirement and has truly stepped up to provide stability and leadership during these past several months.
Kurt joined Geisinger Health Plan in 2014 as chief financial officer and chief actuary, where he has been accountable for the financial performance of all lines of business. Among his accomplishments are driving the health plan’s achievement of its financial margin goals, introducing the risk sharing arrangement with the clinical enterprise, and managing GHP through changes in the individual ACA market and Medicaid expansion.
