The Pennsylvania Department of Health has added four more states to its travel self-quarantine recommendations, there is now a total of 19 states on that list.
Originally the Wolf Administration was recommending that Pennsylvanians self-quarantine if they have traveled or plan to travel to 15 states where coronavirus cases are on the rise.
The new states that were added are Delaware, Iowa, Kansas and Oklahoma.
Officials suggest that people should stay at home for 14 days when they return to Pennsylvania.
The quarantine is recommended after travel to the following states:
- Alabama
- Arizona
- Arkansas
- California
- Delaware
- Florida
- Georgia
- Idaho
- Iowa
- Kansas
- Louisiana
- Mississippi
- Nevada
- North Carolina
- Oklahoma
- South Carolina
- Tennessee
- Texas
- Utah
State officials also reminded people to avoid large gatherings over the holiday weekend and to wear masks around other people to help prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
Masks are now mandatory in public spaces in Pennsylvania, the governor announced Wednesday.
