How Capital BlueCross Is Helping the Community
In light of the pandemic, Capital BlueCross has increased funding to select nonprofit organizations in the central Pennsylvania and Lehigh Valley regions in order to boost access to food and help with basic needs.

We also delivered more than 5,000 meals and healthy snacks to front line workers, nursing homes, underserved children, and others.

As we work together through this nationwide crisis, learn more about how we're helping your communities. Stay safe, and stay well.

Inpatient Treatment for COVID-19 Member Cost Share Waiver Extended
Capital BlueCross has extended its waiver of member cost share for in-network inpatient hospitalization for COVID-19 treatment through May 31.

The waiver applies to all fully insured (PPACA, Mid-Market) groups, as well as groups enrolled in our Small Business ASO product line.

Self-insured employers with more than 100 employees who initially opted into the member cost share waiver through May 1 do not need to do anything to extend the waiver through May 31.

If you have self-insured employers who previously opted not to waive member cost share but would now like to do so, contact your Capital BlueCross account executive for more information.

Ready to Make Enrollment More Efficient? YES!
With Capital BlueCross' Your Enrollment Solution (YES) tool, you can complete enrollment activity more quickly and avoid the risk of human error. YES allows PPACA, Mid-Market, and Small Business ASO groups to submit enrollment safely and securely, and eliminates the need for printed forms. It's available for use today.

In the weeks ahead, we will offer more tips and how-to guides for using YES, including a YES digital guide to familiarize you with the tool. In the meantime, contact your Capital BlueCross account executive if you have questions.

Use the Census Template for Quoting and Enrolling New Business
The Census Template is available to quote and enroll new business in the Small Group PPACA, Mid-Market, and Small Business ASO segments. The template can help you:
  • Format census data for medical underwriting requests (preliminary rate requests)
  • Import census data to Salesforce for prospect quoting
  • Provide enrollment data in the “Excel to Facets” format
  • Submit employee waiver information
The first tab of the template has instructions on how each worksheet functions. To upload a census into Salesforce, save that tab as a .CSV file. Please note that attachments for medically underwritten rates, waivers, and enrollment must be submitted as Excel files.

Remember to always use the current version of the template available in the Forms library of the Salesforce Partner Community for Producers. The current date of the template is 7/29/2019. Discard any previous versions you may have saved. Files submitted with an invalid format or an outdated version will delay the processing of a group’s request.
