Health Plan Options

This afternoon, Governor Tom Wolf joined New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and several other governors from surrounding states to announce a regional plan to reopen businesses impacted by COVID-19 closures. They were joined by Governors: Phil Murphy of New Jersey, Ned Lamont of Connecticut, John Carney of Delaware and Gina Raimondo of Rhode Island.

This regional task force will be comprised of three individuals from each state: a health expert, an economic development expert, and the Governor’s Chief of Staff.  These officials will form a working group focused on developing a “reopening” plan.

Cuomo stressed the importance of cooperation amongst states as reopening begins, and Wolf echoed his remarks. Pennsylvania will be represented by Department of Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine and Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Dennis Davin, along with Gov. Wolf’s chief of staff Mike Brunelle.

The working group will start immediately designing a reopening plan, taking into consideration public health and economic reactivation issues and concerns. So far six states are involved and Gov. Cuomo invited other states to join. The working group will start meeting tomorrow with no timeline in place.

Bravo Group will continue to provide updates on this regional partnership. Should you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
