AFA in Central Pa
March 20, 2020
I
hope all of you are staying healthy and adjusting as we move into week
2 of our new normal. Many of us are attempting to work from home full
time while also balancing many extra challenges during this crisis.
If you’re like me your kids or dog might be photo bombing you on
your video conference calls or depleting your week supply of snacks by
Monday morning, but remember there are some benefits to life like this.
My dog is going on more walks than he could ever imagine and my kids
get to eat every meal of the day with me! I enjoy hearing all of the
funny stories you share as you navigate through your new normal. Keep
sharing!
Stay
healthy and wash your hands!

Aetna AFA includes EAP resources
At this time, many of us are anxious
about what’s happening in the world, what’s happening to our friends
and family and what the next few weeks may bring. Aetna AFA members are
no different.
Remember, Aetna AFA plans include a
valuable resource at no additional cost. Aetna Resources for Living is
available to AFA members as well as anyone in the household who is not
an AFA member.
Members can
access this benefit by calling 866-326-7172. Additional information
included on the member flyer attached
COVID-19
and HDHP compliance
As you know, Aetna is waiving the
member costs associated with diagnostic testing for COVID-19 at any
authorized location for our AFA members.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has
announced that HDHP plans covering the testing and/or treatment for
COVID 19 outside of the deductible requirement will not be in
violation of regulations governing HDHPs. With this announcement,
individuals covered by a HDHP will continue to be eligible to fund
their HSA.
