Review OEP do's and don'ts
Remember, the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (OEP) runs from January 1 to March 31. During OEP, beneficiaries who are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan have an opportunity to switch to a different Medicare Advantage plan or return to Original Medicare.
|
Remember, you may not proactively market to beneficiaries about OEP, but you may assist those who contact you with questions about it.

Below are a few ways you can help retain your members through OEP.

You can download items in PDF format for free or pay to have them printed. All include personalization for your agent contact information.
- Contact your members early during OEP. Ask questions such as “Do you have your Aetna member ID card” and “Are you able to get your prescriptions filled?”
- Hold member welcome meetings to help educate your clients about their 2020 plan. Contact your local broker manager for support.
