Refresher! Agent of Record
(AOR) Retention
If you need a
refresher on the UnitedHealthcare Agent of Record Retention (AOR) policy,
here’s what you need to know! AOR status is retained when members make a
plan change from any UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage (MA), Medicare
Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD), Dual Special Needs Plan (DSNP) or
Chronic Special Needs Plan (CSNP) to another UnitedHealthcare MA, MAPD,
DSNP or CSNP via Telesales, web or paper application without the
assistance of a renewal eligible agent (i.e. field agent) provided
eligibility requirements have been met.
The AOR will be
reinstated by the end of the month following the new plan effective date.
For example, the AOR would be reinstated by Feb. 28 for a plan effective
Jan. 1. A new commission will be paid at that time, assuming the AOR is
eligible for the member’s new plan. Refer to your monthly February
statement available on Jarvis
at the end of February for plans effective Jan. 1, 2020. Plan changes are
paid on a monthly basis the month following the plan effective month.
