Geisinger Funding Alternative (GFA) Update
We’ve got great news about our level-funded GFA products! Read on for important updates for new business and renewals.
UPDATE ON NEW BUSINESS
More groups are now eligible for our GFA plans! Effective Jan. 1, 2020, GFA will be available for groups with as few as 5 enrolled subscribers. The same plan designs will be available that you’ve become accustomed to with our existing GFA product. Please be aware that medical questionnaires will be required for groups with 5-9 people enrolled (available below).
For groups with 5-9 enrolled, the PHCS network is available for out-of-area dependents only. For groups with 10-99 enrolled, the PHCS network is available to employees and dependents. The number of out-of-area subscribers may not exceed more than 20% of the total enrolled subscribers.

UPDATE ON RENEWALS
By now, you should have received your 2020 ACA renewals, along with a GFA option. We’re excited to announce that ACA groups (group numbers starting with 104) can enroll in GFA with as few as 2 subscribers, effective Jan. 1, 2020!
